Warp Point

Privacy Policy

What we store

Warp Point stores a single preference in your browser's local storage: whether you've chosen a light or dark theme. This is stored under the key warp-point-theme with a value of either light or dark.

This data stays entirely on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers, never linked to your identity, and never shared with any third party. It exists solely so the site remembers your theme choice the next time you visit.

What we don't do

Blog submissions

If you submit a blog to the directory, we store the information you provide in the submission form — including your blog's domain, RSS feed URL, author/owner name, and any optional details you choose to provide such as location or social media link. This information is used solely to list your blog in the directory after manual review, and is displayed publicly as part of that listing if approved.

Spam prevention

To prevent abuse of our blog submission form, we temporarily process the IP address of users who submit a blog using Upstash, a third-party data-storage platform. This is used solely to limit how many submissions can be made from the same IP address within a short time window, to prevent spam.

IP addresses are not stored permanently, are not linked to any other data we hold, and are not used for tracking, analytics, or any purpose other than this spam prevention check. IPs are automatically discarded by Upstash once the rate-limiting window expires.

For more information about how Upstash handles data within its platform, you can check out its data processing policy.

Third-party embeds

If you embed our widget on your own site, it makes a request to our server to fetch a random selection of blogs to display. This request does not set cookies or store any information about your site's visitors.

Clearing your preferences

You can clear the stored theme preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, or by using your browser's developer tools to remove the warp-point-theme key.
